STart ~ Whose Toes Are Those?

The book we chose for our STart project this week was - Whose Toes Are Those by Jabari Asim

Whose Toes are Those?

The book itself is not that great... One of my least favorites but Lucas enjoys it for the bright picture so we do read it quite often. The art project we did to go along with this book is painting with our feet!

I had originally planned to do this outside but its been raining here everyday this week. So I set this up in our bathroom instead that way I could just throw him in the tub when he was done : )

First he painted for a bit with his hands....

Then I showed him to put his feet in
He loved squishing the paint between his toes

He had a BLAST!!

  3. How fun! You are a brave mama! He didn't walk on the floors at all?

  4. My son hates to get himself all messy. He didn't like painting with pudding this week. I'm not sure what he would do with this activity! Looks like your little guy had a good time.

  5. To my surprise he actually did stay on the paper, up until I began to run the water for his bath then he ran straight for the tub!

  6. This is such a fun activity. I had planned on doing the same thing this week, but couldn't because Little Sweets has a cast on her leg. She is getting it off Friday, so we might do the activity next week. : )

  7. It's so interesting how some kids really relish the chance to get messy whilst others recoil from it. It's lovely to see how much fun your son had! I'm curious as to why you dislike the book - I don't know the book at all, but I'm always interested in hearing why a book is or isn't a big hit.
